De-escalation is the word that is perhaps thrown around the most when discussing law enforcement-related topics. Yet, it is also maybe the most misunderstood and misappropriated word when addressing these topics as well. What is de-escalation? How should it be trained? Is it the “cure-all” that many make it out to be? This course provides all the training materials necessary (lesson plans, presentations, workbooks, and assessment tools) for participants to effectively deliver the De-escalation Strategies for Best Possible Outcomes program. 

  • Day 1 – Attend the De-escalation: Strategies for Best Possible Outcomes course 
  • Day 2 – Content review, effective instructor methodologies, and scenario development 
  • Day 3 – Assessment day—written exam and graded teach backs
